Why do I get the feeling you aren't going to find yourself in Fargo anytime soon? Well that's too bad. Fargo is a very unique, incredibly friendly, and beautiful city. It shares the North Dakota-Minnesota border with Moorhead, MN. I would describe the Fargo-Moorhead twin cities as having a big city attitude with small town hospitality. Oh, and it also has an authentic Chicago-style eatery:

In addition to great Italian Beef, Vienna Hot Dogs, and Italian Sausage - they have fantastic soups. Occasionally, they even have Old Style for sale. And, if you're feeling a little adventurous I highly recommend some of the local fare, including pickled eggs and beer-cheese soup. One thing worth mentioning - they don't have a deep fryer, so no fries, but all sandwiches come with kettle chips.
